Thomas F. Saylor, MD, is a highly skilled and deeply compassionate orthopedic surgeon serving the community of South Florida. A fellowship-trained specialist in hand and upper extremity surgery and a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and member of the American Society of Surgery of the Hand, Dr. Saylor brings over 20 years of experience to the team at Orthopaedic Care Specialists in North Palm Beach, Florida.
Education has always been an important part of Dr. Saylor’s life. He earned his undergraduate degree in microbiology from Oregon State University. He went on to earn his MD from the University of Nevada School of Medicine in Las Vegas.
Dr. Saylor refined his skills during his orthopaedic surgery residency at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, Illinois. He then focused his attention on complex shoulder, elbow, hand and microsurgery during a one-year fellowship at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida.
Over his more than two decades of experience, Dr. Saylor has refined his approach to orthopedic care through numerous continuing education opportunities. He prides himself on staying abreast of the latest advancements in medical technology and is excited to bring those techniques to the men and women in his care. He has completed research in microvascular surgery, and has lectured at national meetings. He has held clinical professorships at the University of Florida and the University of Vermont, and currently is a team hand surgeon for the St. Louis Cardinals.
